N-(Amino-PEG4)-N-bis(PEG4-t-butyl ester) is a branched PEG reagent bearing an amino group and two t-butyl ester groups. The amino functionality supports reactions with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. Acidic conditions can remove the t-butyl protecting groups to expose the carboxyl functionality.
