SPDP-PEG-CH2CO2H, MW 1,000 is a PEG linker bearing pyridyl disulfide and carboxylic acid functionality. The pyridyl disulfide group reacts with thiols to form a new disulfide bond, releasing pyridine-2-thione as a byproduct. The carboxyl group can be coupled to an amine using an activating agent such as HATU/EDC to form an amide linkage. This reagent is included in the PEG Linkers and Polymer PEG ranges. Store at -20°C.
