NH2-PEG3-COOH is a monodisperse PEG derivative with an amino group and a terminal carboxylic acid, used as a PROTAC linker. These functional groups place it within both the amine and carboxylic acid PEG categories.
The amino group provides a reaction site for carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. The terminal carboxylic acid can be coupled to primary amines using activators such as EDC or DCC to form an amide bond.
