mPEG5-OH, also known as pentaethylene glycol monomethyl ether, is a methoxy PEG compound with a terminal hydroxyl group. This hydroxyl provides a site for derivatization to introduce functional groups for subsequent conjugation with proteins, peptides or drugs.
