PLA(5k)-PEG(5k)-NH2 is a block polymer containing hydrophobic PLA and hydrophilic PEG segments, with a terminal amine for conjugation. This amine reacts with an active NHS ester or with a carboxylic acid in the presence of HATU/EDC.
