DEPC, or 1,2-dierucoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a phospholipid with unsaturated 22:1 long-chain erucoyl groups at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. It is classified under phosphatidylcholine phospholipids. This lipid is used alone or combined with other components to prepare micelles, liposomes, and various artificial membrane systems.
