DBCO-PEG3-aldehyde provides two distinct conjugation handles: a DBCO group for copper-free strain-promoted azide–alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) and an aldehyde group for oxime or hydrazone ligation. The DBCO group reacts rapidly and selectively with azides under mild conditions without a copper catalyst. Its hydrophilic PEG3 spacer supports solubility while reducing steric hindrance and aggregation. This heterobifunctional PEG linker is suited to biological conjugation workflows involving click chemistry and aldehyde-based coupling.
