mPEG-DMG is an amphiphilic polymer that covalently joins 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycerol (DMG) to methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG). It is used as a PEG–lipid component in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for mRNA delivery and in delivery systems for siRNA, plasmid DNA, miRNA, and CRISPR-Cas9.
