DBCO-PEG4-NHS ester combines a DBCO group for copper-free click chemistry with an amine-reactive NHS ester. Under neutral or slightly basic conditions, the NHS ester forms covalent bonds with primary amines, including lysine side chains and aminosilane-coated surfaces.
