Benzyl-PEG5-amine is a PEG linker bearing a benzyl-protected alcohol moiety and a free terminal primary amine. Hydrogenolysis can remove the benzyl protecting group, while the amine provides a reaction site for carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and other carbonyl compounds.
