CBZ-NH-PEG8-COOH is a heterobifunctional PEG linker combining a CBZ-protected amine with a terminal carboxylic acid. The protecting group supports selective peptide synthesis and can be removed by mild hydrogenation. With coupling agents such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid reacts with amines to form amide bonds.
