Iodoacetamido-PEG6-acid is a water-soluble PEG linker bearing a terminal carboxylic acid and an iodoacetamido group. Activation of the carboxylic acid, for example with HATU, enables coupling to primary amines to form stable amide bonds. The iodoacetamido group provides a separate site for covalent attachment to cysteine thiols, blocking the modified thiols from participating in disulfide bond formation. The listed purity is 95%.
