SPDP-PEG-amine, MW 2,000 is a pyridyl disulfide-modified polyPEG with an amine functionality. Reaction with a thiol forms a new disulfide bond and releases pyridine-2-thione. The resulting disulfide can be cleaved using a reducing agent such as dithiothreitol (DTT).
The amine provides a separate coupling site for an activated ester (NHS), or for a carboxylic acid in the presence of an activator such as HATU or EDC. This product is included in both the PEG Linkers and Polymer PEG ranges.
