Cy5 Azide NHS Ester is a water-soluble, far-red fluorescent probe with terminal azide and NHS ester groups. Excitation is reported at 633 nm and 647 nm, and its listed solvents are Water, DMSO, DMF.
The azide enables click chemistry with alkyne, BCN or DBCO groups to form a stable triazole linkage, including under dilute conditions. The NHS ester provides a separate labeling route for primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules.
