CY5.5-PEG-SH, also called Cy5.5-PEG-Thiol, is a fluorescent PEG derivative with a Cy5.5 dye at one terminus and a reactive thiol (–SH) at the other. Its near-infrared fluorescence supports biological imaging in a region associated with low autofluorescence.
The thiol terminus enables attachment to gold surfaces, coupling with thiol-reactive groups and disulfide bond formation. Applications include labeling and tracking biomolecules, nanoparticles and surfaces in biological and materials research. The listed purity is ≥90%.
