Biotin-PEG4-STP Ester is an amine-reactive biotin labeling reagent containing a 4-Sulfo-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl ester and a hydrophilic PEG spacer. It can label proteins, antibodies, and other amine-containing biopolymers in 100% aqueous media. Listed solvents include DMSO, DMF, Water.
The flexible PEG spacer separates biotin from the labeled molecule, helping limit steric interference during avidin binding. The spacer also contributes water solubility to the conjugate and can reduce aggregation of labeled proteins in solution.
