Fluorescein-PEG8-(N-Boc)-Amine is a heterobifunctional PEG linker pairing a fluorescent label with a Boc-protected amine. Mild acidic conditions remove the protecting group, exposing an amine for subsequent reactions with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, ketones or aldehydes. The fluorescein tracer (494nm/521nm) supports labeling of biomolecules and nanoparticles, as well as staining applications involving cells and tissues. Its PEG8 chain enhances water solubility.
