mPEG-Silane, also known as Methoxy-PEG-Silane, is a linear, monofunctional PEG derivative with a methoxy (-OCH3) end cap and a reactive silane terminus. The silane group undergoes hydrolytic condensation with surface hydroxyl (-OH) groups on glass, quartz, silicon wafers, titanium dioxide (TiO2), and other metal oxides.
This methoxy PEG reagent is used for covalent surface modification, nanoparticle functionalization, and preparation of anti-biofouling PEG coatings. The listed purity is ≥95%. Store at -5°C, keep dry, and protect from sunlight.
