N-(Azido-PEG2)-N-Boc-PEG4-t-butyl ester is a branched PEG reagent containing a terminal azide, a Boc-protected amine, and a terminal t-butyl ester. The azide supports click chemistry reactions with alkyne reagents, including DBCO, BCN, and propargyl derivatives. Acidic conditions can remove the Boc protection, while mild acidic conditions can deprotect the t-butyl-protected carboxyl group.
