FITC-PEG-Mal, also named Fluorescein-PEG-Maleimide, is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent combining a fluorescent label with a thiol-reactive maleimide group. Its fluorescein component absorbs most effectively at 494 nm and emits at 521 nm, supporting green-fluorescence detection by microscopy and flow cytometry. The reagent is used to label biomolecules and nanoparticles for visualization and tracking in biological research. Supplied purity is ≥90%; store at -5°C under dry conditions, protected from sunlight.
