Kdo2-Lipid A (KLA) is a nearly homogeneous saccharolipid representing an Re lipopolysaccharide (LPS) substructure. It is described as a defined natural product with endotoxin activity comparable to native LPS and reduced activity in cells from TLR-4 deficient mice.
