Acid-PEG25-Amide-Tri(3-methoxypropanamide-PEG23-Azide) Methane is a branched PEG reagent with one terminal carboxylic acid and three terminal azide groups. Its hydrophilic PEG spacers increase solubility in aqueous media. The azides undergo click reactions with alkyne, BCN or DBCO groups to produce stable triazole linkages.
The carboxylic acid provides a separate coupling site for primary amines, forming an amide bond in the presence of an activator such as HATU. This combination offers acid and azide functionality within the branched PEG linker range.
