Boc-NH-PEG4-ACA is a linear, heterobifunctional PEG derivative with a Boc-protected amine and an acrylamide group separated by four ethylene oxide units. Mild acidic deprotection exposes a primary amine for further conjugation. The acrylamide terminus reacts with thiol groups through Michael addition to form stable thioether bonds.
