DSSO linker is a homobifunctional, MS-cleavable crosslinker for cross-linking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) studies of protein-protein interactions and structural topology. Its central sulfoxide group undergoes collision-induced dissociation (CID) during tandem MS, producing characteristic doublet peaks that support identification of cross-linked peptides and automated data processing.
