Mal-PEG2-NHS is a bifunctional PEG linker combining a maleimide group with an NHS ester. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports aqueous solubility, while the two reactive groups provide distinct conjugation sites. The NHS ester couples to amine-containing molecules, including proteins and oligonucleotides, and the maleimide reacts selectively with thiols to form stable covalent C-S bonds. It can serve as a non-cleavable linker in antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) development.
