4-ArmPEG-MA, also named 4-ArmPEG-Methacrylate, is a branched PEG derivative with a pentaerythritol core and methacrylate groups at the ends of its four arms. These terminal groups support radical-initiated or UV-induced polymerization for preparing PEG hydrogels and other crosslinked polymer materials. They can also react with thiol-containing reagents through thiol-ene chemistry.
The formulation contains approximately 200 ppm of 4-Methoxyphenol (MEHQ) as an inhibitor to limit self-polymerization or partial crosslinking. Applications include hydrogel preparation for biomedical and materials science research.
