- Description
Cy5-PEG-CH2COO-NHS, MW 2,000 combines a red fluorescent Cy5 dye with a PEG polymer and an NHS ester for labeling primary amines (-NH2). Suitable labeling targets include proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules. Cy5 has excitation and emission maxima at 651 nm and 670 nm, respectively.
The PEG component increases the hydrophilicity of the conjugated molecule. This active ester is listed at 90% purity, with solubility in Water, DMSO, DCM, DMF and a storage condition of -20°C.
