RhB-PEG-NHS, MW 5,000 is a linear PEG reagent bearing a terminal rhodamine red fluorescent label and an NHS ester. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. The NHS ester provides a site for labeling primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules, allowing attachment of the fluorescent PEG reagent.
