Amino-PEG5-t-butyl ester is a PEG linker bearing an amino group and a t-butyl-protected carboxyl group. The amino terminus provides a reaction site for carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. Acidic conditions can remove the t-butyl protecting group to expose the carboxyl functionality. The hydrophilic PEG spacer supports aqueous solubility; listed solvents include Water, DMSO, DCM, DMF.
