N3-PEG2-SPA is a PEG derivative bearing an azide group and an NHS ester, also listed as Azido-PEG2-NHS ester. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. The azide reacts with alkynes, BCN and DBCO to form stable triazole bonds, while the NHS ester supports labeling of primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules. These functional groups provide two distinct sites for conjugation chemistry.
