mPEG(2k)-PCL(1k)-COOH is an amphiphilic copolymer in the mPEG-PCL-Acid group. It can couple to proteins, peptides or other amino-containing molecules with an activator such as HATU/EDC. In aqueous solution, the copolymer can self-assemble into polymeric micelles with polycaprolactone (PCL) cores. These hydrophobic core regions can serve as reservoirs for hydrophobic drugs in targeted drug delivery research.
