Fmoc-N-amido-PEG4-t-Boc-Hydrazide is a PEG hydrazide reagent combining an Fmoc-protected amine with a Boc-protected hydrazide. Basic conditions remove the Fmoc group to expose an amine for subsequent conjugation, while mild acidic conditions remove Boc to release a reactive hydrazide for coupling with carbonyl groups.
The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. This protected PEG linker has the molecular formula C31H43N3O9 and a listed purity of 98%.
