Thiol-PEG3-t-butyl ester is a PEG linker combining a thiol group with a t-butyl-protected carboxyl group. The thiol reacts with maleimide, OPSS and vinylsulfone groups, as well as transition metal surfaces such as gold and silver. Acidic conditions can remove the t-butyl protecting group. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases aqueous solubility. The listed purity is 95%, with storage at -20°C.
