- Description
Biotin-PEG3-NH2 is a biotinylation reagent connecting biotin to an amine through a three-unit PEG spacer. The amine supports conjugation with NHS esters or with carboxylic acids using coupling agents such as EDC or HATU.
The PEG3 spacer promotes aqueous solubility and reduces steric hindrance around the biotin group, supporting avidin and streptavidin binding. This combination makes the reagent useful for labeling and tagging workflows based on biotin–avidin interactions. It is cataloged within both the Amine(NH2) PEG and Biotin PEG groups.
