N-Desthiobiotin-N-bis(PEG4-t-butyl ester) is a branched PEG linker combining desthiobiotin with two t-butyl-protected carboxyl groups. The desthiobiotin component is a modified form of biotin that binds avidin, streptavidin and other biotin-binding proteins used in affinity columns, and is recognized by anti-biotin antibodies. Acidic conditions can remove the t-butyl protection to expose the carboxyl groups. The listed purity is 95%.
