t-Boc-Aminooxy-PEG4-CH2CO2-t-Bu is a PEG linker bearing a t-Boc-protected aminooxy group and a t-butyl-protected carboxyl group. Mild acidic conditions can remove the aminooxy protecting group, exposing a site that reacts with aldehydes or ketones to form stable oxime linkages. The carboxyl protecting group can also be removed under acidic conditions.
