PEG2-(CH2CO2H)2 is a bifunctional PEG linker with a carboxylic acid group at each terminus. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer promotes solubility in aqueous media. Both terminal acids offer sites for coupling to primary amines: activation with reagents such as EDC or HATU enables formation of stable amide bonds. The compound is part of the bis-PEG-acid linker range.
