Boc-NH-PEG-COOH is a linear, heterobifunctional PEG reagent with a Boc-protected amine at one end and a carboxyl group at the other. It serves as a crosslinking reagent in which a PEG spacer separates the two functional ends. Mild acidic treatment, including TFA or dilute HCl, removes the Boc protection to regenerate the amine.
