PLGA(40k)-mPEG(5k) is a biodegradable block copolymer combining a hydrophobic poly(lactide-co-glycolide) segment with a chemically attached hydrophilic PEG block. The polymer forms micelles that can encapsulate hydrophobic drugs within their core region. Its linked hydrophobic and hydrophilic segments provide the basis for this micellar organization and its use in hydrophobic drug encapsulation research. Store at -20°C.
