Azidoethyl-SS-propionic acid is a cleavable crosslinker combining an azide group, a terminal carboxylic acid and a disulfide bond. The azide supports click chemistry, while the carboxylic acid can couple with primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form a stable amide bond. Dithiothreitol (DTT) can cleave the disulfide bond. These functionalities place the compound within the click chemistry and disulfide linker categories.
