Amino-PEG20-acid HCl salt is a PEG linker with amino and terminal carboxylic acid functionality. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports solubility in aqueous media. The amino group provides a site for reactions with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds, including ketones and aldehydes. The terminal carboxylic acid can be coupled to primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form an amide bond.
