NH2-PEG36-CH2CH2COOtBu, also known as Amino-PEG36-t-butyl ester, is a heterobifunctional, monodisperse PEG crosslinker with a primary amine at one end and a tert-butyl ester-protected propionic acid at the other. Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) can remove the ester protecting group to expose the carboxylic acid for amide bond formation with amines. This combination provides distinct functional ends for coupling applications within the amine-functional PEG range.
