LD003 (solution in ethanol) is an ethanol solution of a lipid prodrug derived from the synthetic glucocorticoid dexamethasone. LD003 is used in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations for in vivo siRNA and mRNA delivery.
In mouse studies, LD003-containing LNPs encapsulating cytosine-guanine-containing oligodeoxynucleotide (CpG) reduced blood levels of IL-10, CXCL1, TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6. Formulations carrying siRNA targeting mouse coagulation Factor VII (FVII) reduced immune cell infiltration at the injection site and lowered hepatic FVII levels. The listed storage condition is -20°C.
