Lipid TG4C (10mg/ml solution in ethanol) is an ionizable cationic glycerolipid with pKa = 6.71. It has been used to prepare lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for in vivo mRNA delivery and is cataloged among ionizable lipids in the L-369 & Analogs group.
In a mouse model of pulmonary emphysema induced by porcine pancreatic elastase, nebulized TG4C-containing LNPs carrying mRNA encoding human hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) reduced bronchoalveolar lavage fluid levels of Il-1β, Il-6, and Tnf-α. The specified storage temperature is -20°C.
