- Description
Mal-PEG6-t-butyl ester combines a maleimide group and a t-butyl-protected carboxyl group through a hydrophilic PEG spacer. The maleimide reacts with thiol groups to create a covalent linkage, supporting attachment to thiol-bearing biomolecules. Acidic conditions can remove the t-butyl protecting group to expose the carboxyl group.
