6-Azidohexanoic Acid Sulfo-NHS Ester is a water-soluble, amine-reactive labeling reagent containing an azide group and a terminal sulfo-NHS ester. It supports modification of proteins, antibodies and other amine-containing biopolymers in aqueous media, including applications where organic co-solvents are unsuitable.
The sulfo-NHS ester reacts with primary amines to form stable amide bonds. The azide group participates in click reactions with alkyne, BCN or DBCO groups to produce stable triazole linkages. It is cataloged among non-PEG click chemistry linkers and aliphatic PROTAC linkers.
