Azido-PEG12-Maleimide Kit is supplied as two vials; the active Azido-PEG12-Maleimide is generated in situ by mixing the included Azido-PEG12-amine and Maleimide-NHS ester, followed by shaking or stirring for 30 minutes at room temperature. The maleimide group reacts with thiol groups to form covalent bonds, and the azide group enables Click Chemistry reactions.
