Propargyl-PEG4-S-PEG4-acid is a PEG linker featuring a terminal propargyl group and a terminal carboxylic acid, separated by a PEG-S-PEG spacer. The carboxylic acid can form stable amide bonds with primary amines when activated by reagents such as EDC or HATU. The propargyl moiety participates in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry with azide-containing molecules to generate stable triazole linkages. The hydrophilic PEG spacer enhances aqueous solubility.
