Desthiobiotin-PEG3-NHS ester is a biotin PEG linker bearing a desthiobiotin moiety and an NHS ester, grouped under biotin-PEG-NHS products. Desthiobiotin is a sulfur-free, single-ring biotin analog that binds streptavidin with high specificity but lower affinity than biotin, allowing mild elution of captured targets using free biotin competition. This soft-release property can reduce co-purification of endogenously biotinylated molecules in pull-down assays.
