PC-Biotin-PEG4-PEG4-alkyne is a photocleavable biotin PEG linker for labeling azide-containing biomolecules through Cu(I)-catalyzed click chemistry. Its extended hydrophilic spacer helps improve the aqueous solubility of labeled molecules. After capture, biomolecules can be released by near-UV illumination using a low-intensity lamp, such as a 365 nm lamp at 1-5 mW/cm2. The reagent combines alkyne-based biotin attachment with light-triggered release.
